*This post in partnership with buybuy BABY Babyhood, however as always, all opinions are my own*
As I am sure 99.99% of you mama’s out there can attest to, it can be extremely overwhelming choosing a stroller for your little one! There are so many options, so many features, and so many opinions from experts and other mom’s on what is the “best.” I did my fair share of research – including watching video reviews, reading articles, and talking to other trusted mama’s in my life – to figure out which stroller was going to work best for me. After doing all of this, I went over to buybuy BABY to have a look at what they had in store and to try some of the strollers out!
Once I “test-drove” several different strollers, I found almost all of the features I was hoping for in the Baby Jogger City Select, and was extremely happy to find that they were bringing in the newest model – the Lux – into stores! Once I got my City Select Lux, I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. This stroller is SO EASY to push (I have an umbrella stroller as well which is great for travel, but so much less smooth in terms of pushing around!) and I love the little features that the Lux upgraded — a longer extension on the handle, the hand brake, a lighter and more compact fold, and new softer material on the seat (which we have yet to use because Mason is still too little!). We purchased the converters so that we could easily attach our Graco Click Connect 35 carseat to the stroller, and it has been super easy to use.
My favourite features on this stroller are the extremely large basket, the large wheels that make it easy to push and more smooth riding, and the sleek look of the stroller overall. I will be doing another post on this stroller once Mason is into the seat that it came with so that you can see it in it’s full form! 🙂 Another great thing about Baby Jogger is the accessories you can buy for your stroller. I love the Parent Console (featured here) as it makes for easy access to those essential items (water bottle, phone, keys, hand sanitizer, etc.) rather than having to go into the depths of that nice big basket! It’s easily removable (attaches with velcro) but can also be left on when the stroller is folded.
I hope this post was helpful to any mama’s out there looking for their stroller! I would really recommend this model. Although it is a bit heavy (approx. 30lbs) and I am not supposed to lift anything over 10lbs yet (post-c section!) that would be my only complaint about it. However, it is still lighter than the previous City Select model, and I have to say that the heaviness is an indicator of it’s quality for me as well. So there you have it! 🙂
