I had the absolute pleasure of planning and hosting a little local Toronto blogger get together last week at Ufficio restaurant with the help of Rob from The Minister Group. What started out as a chance to just hang out casually with a few girls I’ve met through Instagram and other social media outlets, became a night to dress up, eat delicious food, drink some beautiful cocktails, build relationships, network, and go home with some fun goodies! Please take a moment to check out the blogs and Instagram feeds of these lovely ladies that were able to attend: Rebeca of Wishbone & Clover, Joëlle of La Petite Noob, Eleni of Bijuleni, Safinaaz of The Grey Canvas, Jackie of Something About That, and Sabrina of My Miaou.
I am so excited about how the event came together, but it couldn’t have happened without some amazing sponsors that helped to create it. I’ve already mentioned Ufficio which has one of the cutest spots I’ve come across recently! I love the decor and the staff are truly wonderful. Because the restaurant is closed on Mondays, we didn’t eat their food, but I know that it is definitely worth checking out on another night! Rob was our bartender for the evening, and the cocktails he created and served at this event were absolutely delicious (not to mention photo worthy). Be sure to check out his Instagram and website for more information on how he can be part of your next event! Speaking of photos, almost all of the photos you see in this blog post were taken by the lovely Carolyn of Pond’s End Productions! Check out her Instagram for more beautiful photos.
Queen Margherita Pizza provided eight delicious pizzas for us to enjoy, all with different toppings. Seriously guys, I am probably one of the world’s largest pizza consumers, and I can say this pizza was out of this world. I ventured out and tried a few that I normally wouldn’t order off the menu, and I have zero complaints about any that I tried! We all thoroughly enjoyed it, as you can tell!
For dessert, we were able to enjoy (reluctantly, because it was almost too beautiful to eat) this macaron tower by AG Macarons. Anet customized this tower to the colour scheme that I provided her – pinks, whites, and golds. Not only did it look gorgeous, every macaron I ate (which was a lot) was SO GOOD!!
Finally, I thought it would be fun to give all the blogger babes a few goodies to take home from the event! A big thank you goes to Royal Flower and to Mary who created beautiful flower box arrangements for each blogger in attendance. She did this on such last minute notice, and hand delivered them to the venue! Such amazing service, and gorgeous flowers that brought joy to my home for the week following.
Smashbox Canada provided some gorgeous Be Legendary Lipsticks and Insta-matte Lipstick Transformers which I can say are now a staple in my purses. I have never used an insta-matte product before, and I am officially in LOVE! It still feels like I have a moisturizing, creamy lipstick on, but gives a matte look to my lips. It’s the perfect combination!
The last giveaway was some handmade soy candles by a local Toronto company called Spark Candles. There are so many beautiful designs and scents, and I was so thrilled that they chose to be part of our event. These would be great holiday gifts, so be sure to check them out for your Christmas list!
I must say, I do feel truly so blessed to have met such wonderful people through blogging. I had no idea what kind of network was out there when I first got into this less than a year ago! It’s not just an opportunity to write articles, take photos, and collaborate with brands… It’s also such a great way to meet and connect with like-minded people! Don’t you agree? 🙂
