Dave and I had a boost to our date-night game when we were invited to attend an event for the launch of the new HSBC +Rewards Mastercard. This card has one of the lowest interest rates in Canada of 11.9% plus you get 2 points for every $1 on eligible dining and entertainment purchases! With the +Rewards Mastercard you can redeem your points on things like travel, gift cards or even financial rewards. As someone who loves to eat out and do fun things with my hubby (when we’re able!! lol) this card is definitely full of attractive perks. Oh, and did I mention the card itself is actually really cool? Its design has hidden features activated by UV light (blacklight)! Okay, now let me get to the launch party because it was out of this world! When we first walked in, we walked through a blacklight photo opp to show off the cards unique features. Then we were whisked away to Morocco upon entering the venue, complete with decor, food, and entertainment. And hour later, curtains were drawn around the perimeter of the room as they changed scenes for the following hour. When they were reopened, we were in France! Now all the servers were speaking French, the hors d’oeuvres were being passed, and mimes were coming around interacting with all the guests. In the final hour, we were transported to Japan with futuristic overtones – a sushi bar with dry ice elements, giant dancing robots and techno music! It truly felt like we had gone on 3 different dates in one night!
