You may see a little pattern going here… As I have immersed myself in this 6-week challenge at my gym (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, be sure to follow me on Instagram and check out my Fitness highlight!) I am also *trying* to eat healthier and get all my fruit and veggie portions in everyday – along with protein of course! As a mom, making meals can be trying, especially if you have a very active child who also demands all of your attention (literally uses his hands to pull your face towards him like “LOOK AT ME IN MY EYES MAMA”). So a great go-to for me is a quick smoothie for breakfast and I am very excited to announce that I have obtained a Vitamix to make my life a whole lot easier, courtesy of TSC. Aaaaaand it’s Today’s Show Stopper my friends ($250 off the regular price – so now is the time to buy since this puppy is pricey!). The package includes:

• Vitamix 7500 Blender Base
• 64 oz Low-Profile Wet Ingredient Container with Tamper
• 32 oz Dry Ingredient Container with Tamper
• Vitamix Techniques Recipe Book
• Whole Grains Cookbook
• Owner’s Manual

I actually like to use a combination of fresh and frozen fruit in my smoothies when possible because it eliminates the need for too many ice cubes, while giving your drink an extra fresh flavour! 🙂

For today’s smoothie, I went with peach, mango, strawberry, and spinach with 0% Vanilla greek yogurt and a splash of water. I always go by taste and just add a bit more of whatever ingredient I think it needs after I blend it. You can always add a scoop of protein powder (vanilla would be best!) if you’re looking to use it as a full meal replacement.

The Vitamix literally blended it up in no time, and I quickly realized how efficient it is because there were ZERO ice chunks at all – something I am not so used to with my Magic Bullet haha.

So there you have it! My easy-peasy breakfast-on-the-go smoothie with zero ice chunks and lots of delicious flavour!

Sincerely,

Kristin xx
